Job Description
About The Role
The Grounds Person will work as part of the overall Property and Facilities Team to care for and develop the School’s grounds, lawns and gardens. You will be responsible for ensuring the grounds are presentable, well serviced and continually maintained to agreed standards, including line marking of the sports grounds throughout the year. You will also assist, when required, in the set up and pack down of School events.
This is a full-time permanent position, commencing ASAP.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You will hold a Certificate III in Horticulture (Cert IV or above preferred)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant field (5 years or more preferred), including maintenance of horticultural displays, pest and weed disease control, weed management, plant nutrition and irrigation.
Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
An effective communicator with great passion and pride in your work
Flexible, reliable and results driven
Capable of identifying areas for improvement and taking the initiative to make recommendations
