Job Description

About the Role

This permanent 0.6–0.75FTE position offers the opportunity to teach Music across the Junior & Senior School, with the ability to teach SACE Stage 1 & 2 Music and strong piano skills highly desirable.

The successful applicant will deliver engaging and contemporary Music programs that develop students’ musicianship, creativity and confidence. They will inspire students through performance, composition, theory and ensemble experiences, while fostering a genuine appreciation and lifelong passion for music.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Hold appropriate teaching qualifications and current South Australian Teacher Registration Board registration
  • Demonstrated experience teaching SACE Music, with the ability to teach Stage 1 & 2 Music highly desirable
  • Demonstrate a student-centred approach, fostering creativity, confidence and musical achievement
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences that support students of diverse abilities
  • Strong piano skills are highly desirable, with the ability to accompany students and ensembles where appropriate
  • A collaborative, reflective and professional approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and contributing positively to the wider School community
  • Passionate about inspiring young people to develop their musical skills and a lifelong appreciation of Music
